Our Program
Student Lobsterman Mentorship
Lift All Boats is a summer pre-apprenticeship program that trains students to lobster by taking them out on the water once a week for half a day at a time, all summer long. Participants get Maine Student Lobstering Licenses and are licensed commercial fishermen from day one.
There is no cost to participate, and students get paid a stipend for attendance, and by selling the lobster they catch to Luke’s Lobster at market price.
For students who discover a passion for lobstering, we connect them with experienced lobstermen eager to train and hire the next generation. For those who choose a different path, the Lift All Boats team remain lifelong mentors, supporting their goals while fostering a lasting connection to the ocean and a sense of belonging.
Eligibility: Applicants must be at least a high school freshman, be currently enrolled in school, and under 18 years old when they start the program.
